The ACLU of Northern California is a non-profit public interest organization devoted to protecting civil rights and civil liberties. Our 50 staff members and numerous volunteers work in the fast-paced, friendly and professional San Francisco and San Jose offices. We are currently looking to fill the following positions:

Fellowships

Several one-year fellowships are offered by different departments of the ACLU-NC. Currently there are internships in the communications department and the legal department. Fellows receive a stipend and are based in our San Francisco office.

Volunteers

As a non-profit civil liberties advocacy organization, we rely on the time, talent and expertise of our volunteers to accomplish the enormous volume of work that we do.  Volunteer opportunities are available in the following areas:

Internships

The ACLU of Northern California (ACLU-NC) provides many internship opportunities. Internships are available for undergraduate, graduate, and law students, as well as non-students interested in interning at the ACLU.
