Publicizing an Event

Public events—lectures by expert speakers and members of the ACLU-NC Speakers Bureau, debates, workshops, screenings of The ACLU Freedom Files or Stop the Abuse of Power, panel presentations, town halls—are all great ways to educate the public about important civil liberties issues, raise awareness of the work of the ACLU-NC, and build coalitions with other community organizations.

There are a few simple principles that will help you get word about your event out to the people who want to be there.

Nancy Otto, ACLU-NC Activist
