North Peninsula Chapter

Daly City to San Carlos

Share This!Share this on FacebookShare this on TwitterForward this to a friend

The North Peninsula Chapter is currently involved in two main areas of activism: We have interacted with local government to work for justice for juveniles and those in need of representation in the criminal justice system when we see civil liberties questions arise. In the electoral area, we are working in coalition with many groups to support or oppose initiatives with civil liberties applications, such as affirmative action, racial/gender equality, reproductive rights, privacy issues, etc.

We are setting up meetings in each city in our chapter area to meet members and learn their concerns.  Please contact the chapter if you are interested in attending a meeting in your area:

"During my tenure at the ACLU, I got to work with young people who may not have heard about the ACLU previously, but once they understood what we were all about, they were so motivated to fight for their own rights and for the rights of others."
Nancy Otto, ACLU-NC Activist
