The conference is your opportunity to gain the knowledge you need to become a strong, effective advocate in arenas where promising reforms are on the table, in the state legislature and elsewhere. Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Organize. Learn about critical civil liberties issues and ways to take action.
  • Lobby. Gain insights on the California legislative process from experts, and participate in lobbying training.
  • Advocate. Speak directly with your elected officials in Sacramento about the issues you care about most.
  • Connect. Get to know ACLU staff and grassroots activists from all across California.

Mingle with ACLU staff and meet fellow social justice and civil liberties enthusiasts. All active participants in the struggle for freedom and justice are welcome to attend.

Hotel Information

Registering for the conference and lobby day DOES NOT secure you a hotel room.

A special room rate of $84/night for a single or $104/night for a double is available at the Holiday Inn Sacramento Capitol Plaza until March 23, 2012. Call (916) 446-0100 or go to http://www.sacramentohi.com/reservations.aspx and provide group code ANC to receive the discounted rate.

"During my tenure at the ACLU, I got to work with young people who may not have heard about the ACLU previously, but once they understood what we were all about, they were so motivated to fight for their own rights and for the rights of others."
