The mission of California Crime Victims for Alternatives to
the Death Penalty (CCV) is to provide support for crime victims through
community outreach, networking, and resource referrals. We are a community of
murder-victim families, friends, and loved ones who support alternatives to the
death penalty for a variety of reasons: Some of us feel that California’s death
penalty does not help victims; some of us are opposed to the death penalty; all
of us believe there are better alternatives. We unite to educate each other and
our communities about the sensible alternatives to the death penalty. CCV works to ensure that families and
loved ones of murder victims have a voice at the local and state-wide level.
California Crime Victims for Alternatives to the Death Penalty is a project of the ACLU of Northern California, Death Penalty Focus, and Murder Victims’ Families for Reconciliation.
Please visit www.californiacrimevictims.org to learn more about our local activities, the growing community, and resources that are available to you, your friends, and family.
If you have lost a loved one to violence and wish to join our efforts, please feel free to contact the Aarti Kelapure, Program Coordinator, at 415-262-0082.
