Tell CDCR What You Think About Lethal Injection
On May 1, 2009 the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation proposed new regulations for lethal injection procedures in California.
This triggered a 60-day public comment period that will end in a public hearing in Sacramento on June 30. The ACLU-NC encourages anyone concerned about the death penalty and about our public safety priorities in California to submit written comments, and to attend the public hearing, which will be part of a Day of Action to End the Death Penalty.

Host an Event
The ACLU-NC and coalition partners have created the Faces of Wrongful Conviction Speakers Series Toolkit to bring the voices of exonerees to communities across California. By continuing to speak out against the failures of the criminal justice system generally and the death penalty in particular, exonerees like Gloria Killian give voice to the voiceless: the unknown number of innocent men and women languishing in California's prisons and on its death row. The toolkit contains everything necessary to host an event about wrongful convictions: lists of speakers and films, discussion guides, fliers, email announcements, and instructions. Download the toolkit.
