CA AB 639: Parole: Juveniles and Adults

Status: Vetoed by Governor (10/14/07)
Author: Hancock [D]

The original version of this bill ensured that each juvenile and adult released from prison would have a valid state identification card from DMV.  However, the bill was amended to apply only to those inmates leaving San Quentin state prison.  This legislation is important in assisting inmates leaving prison with reintegration into the community.
