First Hearing in Landmark Education Lawsuit Scheduled for Monday October 30

Motions on Textbooks and Other Issues to be Heard

The Court will hear the first arguments in the landmark education lawsuit filed last May by the ACLU and other civil rights groups. The Court will hear several motions including whether the Court should appoint an independent evaluator to determine the number of students in California who don't have textbooks and the State demurrer, which will determine whether or not the case can proceed.
