Congress Passes Tax Law Allowing Donations from IRAs

Photo by @scottwills via Flickr The 2010 tax law extends a previous provision allowing people who are 70 ½ or older to make tax-free transfers up to $100,000 from their IRAs to a charitable organization. If you have IRA assets you don’t need, consider contributing them, tax-free, to the ACLU Foundation.
