In California,
some criminal convictions have no impact on your voting rights.
Other kinds of convictions may temporarily take away your right
to vote. The ONLY time you are not eligible to vote in California
is if you are in state prison or on parole for a felony conviction.
This means that you have the right to vote if, for example, you
are on probation; are in jail for a misdemeanor, as a condition
of your felony probation, are awaiting trial or on trial for
any crime and have not yet been convicted; or have completed
your parole. Just remember: ON PROBATION? OFF PAROLE? You Have
the Right to Vote.
