Annual Youth Rights Conference: For Youth, by Youth

Every spring, the Friedman Youth Project’s Youth Activist Committee organizes a conference that brings together hundreds of high school youth from throughout Northern California to discuss, debate, and strategize about some of the most important issues of our times. This year's workshop topics include: Rights with Police, Educational Equity, Queer Rights, Rights at School, Immigration, Military Recruitment, Activist & Organizing Skills, Restorative Justice, and more!

2008 Youth Rights Conference: Our Education is Our Liberation
"We are the youth, these are our nations, so let the truth create vibrations"

Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at UC Berkeley from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

We expect great interest and have limited space this year; thus we are limiting registration to no more than 20 students per school and want to encourage the attendance of students of color, LGBTQQI students, low-income students, students with disabilities, and students who don’t generally have access to these kinds of opportunities.  To pre-register, download this form and send it to us according to the directions.
