ACLU of Northern California Chapters

Change happens through the power of people coming together to tackle important issues in our communities. Join our chapter program to get involved with local organizing efforts across Northern California!

Chapters are the grassroots team of the ACLU, and are central to our ability to build a movement for justice, equality and freedom. Chapter leaders host events to build community and educate the public, cultivate partnerships with local leaders and organizations, and work with ACLU organizers to move forward ACLU campaign goals and civil liberties priorities.

Chapter leaders get to be part of a larger community fighting for change, and have special training opportunities to develop organizing skills.

Find out more about the efforts of your local chapter below. If you’re in an area that isn’t represented below, check out our volunteer page to learn more about other action opportunities!
