Attention: If your DACA benefits expire on or before March 5, 2018, your DACA renewal application must be marked RECEIVED by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017.
If you need assistance filing your DACA renewal application, the following organizations, law firms, and attorneys have advertised that they are willing to provide free legal help. You should speak with a licensed lawyer to complete your application and get advice on your specific situation.
Be sure to have with you the following documents:
- Previous DACA application;
- Work authorization card;
- Government-issued identification;
- Social security card;
- 2 passport-sized photos; and
- Check or money order of $495 payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security (some organizations are offering financial assistance).

Financial aid – DACA renewal application fee
- Scholarships for DACA renewals are available via Mission Asset Fund. Apply today.
- Self-Help Federal Credit Union is offering 0.0% interest rate and no application fee DACA loans. Offer ends Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017. They have several locations in California.
