Civil rights icon Dolores Huerta will speak at an event with El Concilio and the ACLU of Northern California about Stockton’s “Measure N” on the November ballot.
Measure N will make it so that Stockton City Council candidates would have to live in the district they are running in. Voters who live in that district will decide who represents them on the City Council. The mayor will continue to be elected by all Stockton voters.
The ACLU of Northern California endorses a YES vote on Measure N.
