Chika Nweke is the Donor Services Specialist at the ACLU of Northern California. In this role, Chika works to maximize opportunities to develop, strengthen, and steward relationships with the donors who make the ACLU’s work possible.
Prior to joining the ACLU, Chika interned at the East Bay College Fund, where she helped to further the mission of expanding Oakland youth opportunities through working on major donor projects and campaigns. Before working at the East Bay College Fund, Chika participated in the refugee rights movement as an intern at Asylum Access. Through this work, she strategized to improve grassroots donor relations and visibility of the organization.
Chika received her B.A. in broadcast and electronic communications arts with a minor in international relations from San Francisco State University.
Chika is a proud San Francisco native and in her spare time enjoys mountain biking around the San Francisco Bay Area. She loves chocolate, science fiction novels, and heavy metal.
