Action: Charter School Students Deserve Quality Sex Ed
Right now, charter schools are not required to offer the same comprehensive sexual health education that students in other public schools are getting.
Young people have a right to quality sex ed. Research shows that providing students with inclusive, accurate, and unbiased sexual health education helps them become healthier and more successful adults.
California students from across the state are joining the ACLU, ACT for Women and Girls, Black Women for Wellness, and Planned Parenthood in Sacramento to lobby for AB 2601 (Weber), a bill that will make sure all students get equal access to a quality sexual health education.
Every California student deserves the education they need to protect their health, have healthy relationships, set boundaries, and be accepting of others.
