Community First: Unite. Rebuild. Transform.
Can you believe nearly four years have passed since we’ve been able to gather together in person? The past four years have brought both victories and losses, joys and sorrows, and new insights into how we can advance civil liberties and healthy communities here in California and beyond.
The conference will take place in downtown Sacramento and span two days of workshops, keynote speakers, community-building, and networking events. Travel grants are available to support with the cost of transportation and hotels.
Curious about the program? You can see what we have planned by clicking here. Please register for the conference below before Wednesday, April 12.

How we move forward depends on the power of communities and the leadership of people like you. No one can do this work alone, and that’s why we're excited to invite you to join us for our ACLU NorCal conference for activists! Join us in Sacramento on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23!
Wondering what happened to lobby day? If you have joined us for our conference in past years, you may have also participated in a lobby day. What to expect at the conference...
COVID-19 is highly transmissible, serious, and can be lethal. COVID-19 vaccines are effective at preventing severe disease, hospitalization, and death. We hope that if you choose to attend an ACLU in-person event, that you have also taken the necessary precautions to care for your fellow community members.
All attendees are required to properly wear a mask (covering the nose and mouth), regardless of vaccination status, while in all indoor spaces. Masks will be provided to all attendees. We will be using air purifiers in all indoor spaces to further guard against COVID-19 exposure. If you experience any COVID-19 or cold symptoms (such as fever, cough, sore throat), please stay home. Rapid COVID-19 tests will be made available to all attendees.
Check back for details regarding the program which will include workshops on advocacy skills and community building, exciting speakers, and opportunities to connect with people doing valuable community building work across California.
