Fuel the Fight for Justice
Give now to protect rights, challenge abuse, and build a more just future.
Your support is vital in this moment. Our legal director Shilpi Agarwal shares why:
Across the country, our democracy and civil rights are under attack, but the ACLU stands firm. From challenging unlawful detentions and voter suppression to confronting discriminatory policing and surveillance, we are fighting back against the systems that silence dissent and target vulnerable communities.
And the Trump administration is just getting started — threatening civil rights, fueling fear, and chilling protest. A powerful, coordinated ACLU response is essential. Your support fuels the legal action, grassroots organizing, and relentless advocacy that push back against these abuses.
Make your gift today and help build a future rooted in freedom, equity, and justice. The fight for democracy depends on all of us.

This year's holiday card featured work by Leah Korican, an artist and poet living and working in Oakland, California. The selected works are from her newest project, These Truths, a meditation on holding onto values and beliefs in the face of censorship. The United States Government has removed over 350 words from official websites, according to PEN America. Words that reflect truths about diversity, the environment, health, immigration, LGBTQ+ identity, racism, and women’s issues, among others that have been systematically deleted from government sites as a tactic for creating fear, and in an attempt to make the ideas and people behind these words vanish. In a series of works on paper, Korican layers text, cut paper, and paint to explore and combat the current erasure of the truths we hold. For more information about the artist, visit her website.
